What is Fundof?

Fundof is a platform aimed for creators. With Fundof you can receive donations, spend and manage your income, promote your work, give back to your community, and more.

How do I use Fundof?

First, sign up for free in fundof.me to create your profile. Then, these are the basics to start using Fundof:
  1. Complete your Fundof profile by adding the links to your content.
  1. If you are an EEA resident, you can verify your account to start accepting donations and receive our free Visa debit card. Go to the Money tab and click on Claim your card.
  1. Share your Fundof link in your social media for your followers to discover your content and to send you donations.


Where is Fundof available?

Fundof is available worldwide. However, the payment account feature is only available for EEA residents.

Can I access the payment account feature if I don’t hold an EEA ID or passport?

Yes, as long as you have a legal residence in an EEA country you can use all features in Fundof.

Can I use Fundof if I’m not an EEA resident?

Yes, you can create a Fundof page and use all the link in bio features. You can also donate to other creators, but you won’t be able to use all the banking features.

Can I receive donations through Fundof if I’m not resident in an EEA country?

No, you won’t be able to verify your Fundof payment account or accept donations if you don’t have residency in an EEA country.

Do I need to download an app to use Fundof?

No. Fundof is a web based platform that works on any mobile device and desktop, and on every operating system.


How can I start accepting donations in Fundof?

First, you need to to meet the requirement of having a legal residence in an EEA country to start accepting donations in Fundof.
Secondly, you need to verify your Fundof account: go to the Money tab and click on Claim your card. This will start the identity verification process needed to accept donations. It will also automatically place a free request for the Fundof Visa debit card.

Why do I need to verify my identity to accept donations in Fundof?

To make Fundof a safe environment, we need to make sure that you are you. More info on the Safety section of the FAQ.

How long does the identity verification process take?

The identity verification process only takes a few minutes, and you will get a notification email as soon as the verification is approved. If we need any additional information to verify your account, we will contact you via email.


How do I get my Visa debit card?

First, you need to to meet the requirement of having a legal residence in an EEA country to obtain the free Fundof Visa debit card.
Secondly, go to the Money tab and click on Claim your card. Once you’ve finished the identity verification process, you’ll receive your Fundof Visa debit card at your address within 5-10 working days.

Are there extra charges to order or to use the Visa debit card?

No, the Visa debit card is free to obtain and there are no additional fees for using it.

How can I use my Fundof Visa debit card?

Like any debit card: in stores that accept debit card payments, online or in-person.

How long does it take before I get my Fundof Visa debit card?

Once your ID verification is approved you will receive your card within 5-10 working days. You will get an email notifying you when your card is on the way.


How can I use my Fundof funds?

Like any other funds: you can save them, make SEPA transfers to other accounts, withdraw cash at an ATM, or spend them with your Fundof Visa debit card. You can also use your funds within Fundof to send donations other creators.

Do I need to transfer my funds from Fundof to another bank account to be able to use them?

No, Fundof provides you with your own payment account. This means that all donations you receive through Fundof go directly into your Fundof account and you have instant access to them.

How long do I have to wait until I can use my funds in Fundof?

You don’t have to wait at all. You have instant access to every donation you receive through Fundof in your Fundof payment account and in your Fundof Visa debit card.

Do I get an IBAN number?

Yes. Go to the Money tab, then click on Show account details to see your IBAN number, BIC and bank address.

How can I make SEPA transfers to other bank accounts from Fundof?

Go to the Money tab, then click on Transfer money.

Can I add money to my Fundof account?

Yes. Go to the Money tab, then Top up balance to add funds with a credit or debit card.

Can I change the PIN of my Fundof Visa card?

Yes. Go to the Money tab, click on Reset card PIN and follow the instructions to change your PIN.

Is my money safe?

Yes, of course! Your money is managed by our financial services provider who is a licensed and supervised electronic money institution in Sweden. For more information see Payment Service T&C.


Can supporters from outside the EEA send me donations?

Yes, any user from anywhere in the world can send you donations.

How can supporters send me donations?

Your supporters can send you donations by clicking on the Send a tip button on your Fundof page.

Do supporters need to sign up in Fundof to send me donations?

No, the only requirement to donate in Fundof is to own a debit or credit card.

What payment methods are accepted in Fundof?

Fundof accepts Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards.
Verified users can also use their Fundof balance to send donations.
Additional methods of payment are coming soon (ApplePay, GooglePay, PayPal, and more).

Can supporters get a Fundof Visa debit card?

Yes, of course! They have to follow the steps described in the Spending section of the FAQ.

Are there donation limits?

At the moment donations are limited to €50 per tip, and a maximum of €100 per day with a single card.



What is my Fundof link?

Your Fundof link is the link with your username that leads to your Fundof profile: fundof.me/yourname

How do I use my Fundof link?

Add your Fundof link to your social media, a newsletter, send it by private message… Put it anywhere your supporters can see it.

Can I change my username?

No. Once selected, the username can not be changed, so make sure you pick one you like :)

Can I customize my profile?

Yes. Go to Settings -> Look & Feel to find a variety of customization options.

How do I add my social media icons?

Go to Settings -> Social media.
Add your social media handles and Save.


How do I add a new link?

Go to Content -> Create new link.
Or go to your Profile -> + New link.

Is there a limit on how many links I can add?

Not that we know, you can try to discover it!

What is a payment link?

A payment link is a direct access to a payment window for a fixed amount. The payer has the same payment options as when tipping. Each payment link also has its own QR code.

Whats is a plain link?

A plain link is a link to another web page and doesn’t have its own QR code.

How do I create a funding goal?

Go to Content- > Create new link.
Select Payment link.
Activate the toggle on Want to fund a goal?
Add your goal amount, and you’re good to go!

How do I create a funding goal with a giveaway?

Follow the same steps as to create a funding goal.
Activate the toggle Draw a giveaway upon funding?

What happens if I don’t reach my funding goal? Will I still get my money?


Can my funding goal be overfunded?


How do giveaways work?

If you’ve activated Draw a giveaway upon funding?, a random winner will be selected amongst the signed up Fundof users who donated. You will receive an email with the winner’s contact, and they will receive an email notifying they’ve won. You are in charge of contacting them to arrange the delivery of the reward.
At the moment, only giveaways hosted by the users are available. Fundof sponsored giveaways will be available in the future.


How is Fundof safe?

Fundof verifies its users’ identity with biometric technology to assure supporters are tipping the right creator, and not a fake account.

What is a verified user?

A verified user is a user that has gone through the identity verification process. We basically make sure that you are you to keep the platform safe. Only verified users can receive donations.

What does the identity verification process consist of?

The verification matches your ID document in the form of a passport or ID-card, with a selfie video to ensure that you are you. During the verification, you will also provide your address, and if required, a proof of residence.

How do I change my phone number?

You can update your phone number under Settings -> Contact details.

Can I change my email address?

No. It is not possible to change the email address associated with your Fundof account.

Can I deactivate my Fundof account?

Yes, you can request to close your Fundof payment account and cancel your card by contacting us at support@fundof.com.


How much does Fundof cost?

Fundof charges a fixed platform fee of 10% per tip.
